2019 Aquascape Artist of the Year - Patrick Handley

Congratulations to our Managing Director Patrick Handley on being awarded the 2019 Aquascape Artist of the Year Award. This award recognises the outstanding passion and workmanship that Patrick puts into each and every one of his projects, produced through his pond construction business Waterscapes Australia.

Patrick introduced Australia to the Aquascape Inc. product range from the largest supplier of pond equipment in North America and has lead the way in changing the way ponds and water gardens are built and enjoyed.

Patrick Handley is a Horticulturist, Permaculturist and Environmentalist with over 25 years of global experience in pond and water garden design and construction and in this time Patrick has been creating naturally inspired and efficient waterscapes from the smallest subtle feature to expansive ponds and lakes and is now considered by his peers to be one of the world's best pond building artists. 

By working with nature and through much observation Patrick is able to combine exceptional construction techniques with ecology and create stunningly natural aesthetics.

He is inspired by the beauty of natural landscapes and transforming the ordinary into something beautiful and accessible – bringing the beauty of nature back into the everyday of our sometimes hectic environments.
